Good Thoughts Tea Company is an all natural loose leaf tea enterprise centered around the healing properties of herbs. Their primary goal is to help heal from the inside out — all while reawakening the conversation and experience of tea.
I had the pleasure of meeting founder Eboné McCloud in her pop-up shop at Homme in the Anacostia Arts Center in Washington, DC. Luckily for us, she agreed to answer a few questions.
What motivated you to get into the tea industry?
As cliche as it may sound, I wanted to share a piece of myself with the world. I used to watch my grandmother make sweet Lipton tea and when I was extremely little, I had tea parties with a family friend every time I would visit my father in Dallas. All of those events would soon serve as my starting point for my tea journey.
What separates your product from others in the industry?
Good Thoughts is primarily centered around the healing properties of the herbs themselves. I look to combine specifics herbs together that would compliment one another in helping heal from the inside out.
What’s your favorite tea variety?
I’m a huge fan of herbal blends however, my favorite true tea blends are always a chai blend or an earl grey blend.
What’s the last cup of tea you drank?
I drank my ‘Orange Chai Spice‘ blend last. It’s a spicier blend of a chai.
